How can I support Calne Free Church financially

Thank you for considering supporting the church financially.  Should you feel encouraged to support the work of the church financially there are two primary ways:

1.  On a Sunday through the church collection boxes.

The church collection boxes are placed at the back of the church and you can deposit cash or cheques directly into these boxes.  Chequess should be made out to Calne Free Church.

2. You can make a gift online to Calne Free Church using this link:  https://lovegiving.co.uk/Calne-Free-Church

3.  Through direct bank transfer (one off or regular)

One-off gifts can be given to the Church using on-line banking. A number of people also like to give regularly to the work by setting up a Standing Order with their bank.  You can set up a Standing Order directly with your bank, you do not need a specific form from the church.  Sadly due to the on-line fraud we cannot give out the bank details online.  The bank detail can be obtained from the church treasurer James Ridout at church or you can use the Get in touch form to send him an email. When setting up a bank payment please use your full name as the reference.

Gift Aid
If you are a UK Taxpayer you may wish to consider using Gift Aid, which allows the Church to claim back an additional 25p for every £1 you donate. A Gift Aid declaration form is attached. When completed please either drop it in one of the ‘collection’ boxes at the rear of the church, email it to treasurer@calnefreechurch.org.uk  or post to James Ridout, c/o Calne Free Church, Church Street, SN11 0HU

We are conscious that, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain” (Ps 27:1) so we pray and trust the Lord to provide for us but we also know that “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor 9:7) and that he will bless the free offerings of His people for the work of the Kingdom.

I have a lot of questions about Christianity?

Great! You’re at the right place then.  Why not come along to a church service, you’ll meet there with other people who have have or had the same questions as you.  You could also contact us and we’d happy to arrange for an appropriate person to meet up with you.

What happens on a Sunday?

We meet together at 10:30am and 6pm.  We pray & sing together a variety of songs, from the contemporary to the traditional; we hear the Bible read to us, and then explained in a talk (lasting around 30 minutes); every few weeks, we share Communion; Sunday mornings there is Junior church for primary age children and a creche

After the morning service, there is the chance to ask for prayer, speak in confidence to the pastor, meet other for refreshments, find out more details of events and groups

What will happen if my kids are noisy or naughty?

Kids will be kids!  We love them quiet and noisy!  Church is a place for the whole family so bring the children along!  We run Junior Church, for children aged 3-11, and creche during the Sunday morning service. Older young people are encouraged to stay in the main service, and sermon-question sheets are provided for them. All the volunteers leading our children’s groups have gone through the necessary Criminal Records Bureau checks.

What license do you have for the music you play and stream online?

The church has two CCLI License details:

Church Copyright Licence – 20450;

Streaming Plus Licence – 451214 ;
