We are an independent evangelical church based in Calne, Wiltshire. At Calne Free we seek to teach and understand the message of the Bible, which is just as relevant today as it ever was. Our aim is to glorify God and enjoy a real relationship with him through faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. Our doors are open to people of all ages and backgrounds. Everyone is welcome, there is no dress code and you don’t need to be a Christian!

Calne Free Church is an independent evangelical church committed to teaching the Bible, sharing the good news of Jesus, and encouraging one another in faith. We are members of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC).

 

 

What are your services like?

 

Our services include Bible teaching, prayer, music, and fellowship. They are informal, friendly, and suitable for all ages. You don’t need to know anything beforehand — just come as you are.

 

 

Do I need to dress a certain way?

 

Not at all. You’re welcome whether you prefer casual clothing or something more formal. Most people wear everyday clothes.

 

Do you have activities for children?

 

Yes! We have Sunday groups for children and young people, as well as various mid‑week activities. All helpers are DBS‑checked and follow our safeguarding policy.

 

Do I need to be a Christian to come?

 

No, not at all. Whoever you are, whatever your background or beliefs, you are warmly invited to join us and explore the Christian faith at your own pace.

 

How long does a service usually last?

 

Our morning service usually lasts around an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. Afterwards we enjoy refreshments together.

 

Is your building accessible?

 

Yes — there is level access, and we aim to make our gatherings as welcoming and accessible as possible. If you have specific needs, please let us know so we can support you.

If you’re a visitor then no one will ask you for money!
