Each Sunday evening has a different focus:
1st Sunday of the month
“Seek the Lord while He may be found” Isaiah 55:6
This service will be aimed at those who are looking for answers and seeking to know more about the Christian faith. We will provide a warm welcome to those who are not so familiar with Church services and provide a clear gospel message. Content will aim to be accessible for all corners and regulars are encouraged to bring their friends to hear the Good News of Jesus. In October we will start to look at question that people often ask about Christianity. Please consider bringing a friend to our evenings “If you could ask God one question?”
2nd Sunday of the month
“My sheep listen to my voice, I know them and they follow me” John 10:27
The emphasis at this service will be on Christian discipleship; following Jesus and learning to live out the Gospel in our Christian lives. there will be Bible teaching applicable to our lives and new opportunities to serve the Church as well as the chance to encourage one another and pray.
3rd Sunday of the month
“Do this in remembrance of me” Luke 22:19
The main focus of this service will be communion where we remember the death of Jesus. Sharing bread and wine at the Lord’s Table will be central and the service will include prayer, reflection, a message from God’s word and sung praise. It is a time for confession, contemplation and sharing together.
4th Sunday of the month
“Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures for ever” Psalm 106:1
This is a service of praise and thanksgiving with more emphasis on sung praises and open prayer but including teaching from the God’s word so that we may know and praise Him more. Services may include reports from missions and other partners in the Gospel as a prompt for prayer and thanksgiving.
