Hope in suffering: An evening with Jeremy Marshall

Jeremy is coming to Calne Free Church (virtually!) on Tuesday 2nd March at 7:30pm to share with us how he lives with confidence with incurable cancer.  Watch his personal invitation to this event (see below).

Since being diagnosed with incurable cancer, Jeremy Marshall has dedicated his time to connect his experience to the difficulties that many of us face in this life with the deep-seated joy that is found in knowing the Lord Jesus.  Jeremy Marshall is the former CEO of the UK’s oldest private bank. He is married with three children and five years ago he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

More about Jeremy

Jeremy Marshall is the former CEO of the UK’s oldest private bank. He is married with three children and five years ago he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Jeremy has written two books.  The first called “Beyond the Big C” chronicles Jeremy’s extraordinary relationship with cancer and, more than anything, his extraordinary relationship with the person who promises life beyond the prognosis. The essence of Jeremy’s story is that despite the sickness and disease present in the world, a life lived in light of Christ’s death on the cross means there is hope for the future no matter what.

Jeremy’s most recent book Hope in the Face of Suffering helps readers apply the principles he has learned through his own experience of dealing with terminal cancer. He holds out the message of hope in the Bible — the medicine cabinet where we can find treatment for our suffering — and meditates on God’s promises, which are like a rock upon which we can stand secure.

Jeremy also has a blog page where he review the many books he has read!  http://jsjmarshall.blogspot.com/?view=flipcard
